Carlos started his professional career in the field of engineering in 1980, working on the development of coatings for their use in gas pipelines.

He takes part on the construction and further commissioning of the Gaviota Field, at Matxitxako Cape (Biscay), assuming the quality control responsibilities concerning to the coatings and welding of the offshore gas pipeline and service pipes. These works were made during Carlos’ period at Grupo Técnicas Reunidas.

From 1985 to 1988, Carlos works as responsible of the Sales Department at Gas Natural Castilla y León, in Burgos and Aranda de Duero.

By the end of 1988, Carlos joins Enagás as Control & Gas Quality responsible and since his arrival to Enagás in until 2018, he has been working at the Commercial & Technical Services Management field, coordinating the connection contracts to the Spanish Main Gas Pipeline Network, gas supply to LNG Satellite Plants and measuring and quality control of gas on the whole area (LNG plants, international connections, storages, deliveries to gas distributors, gas shippers and qualified customers). Furthermore, Carlos has managed technical issues related to gas compression stations, both in Spanish Network and International assets.

Carlos has taken part in work groups developing different regulations related to measuring and gas quality: Sedigas, NGTS Groups (Technical System Management Rules), Aenor
